Monica Lewis, Former Miss Chiquita Banana, Meets... Chucky! (6/27/2014)

Monica has left us a sweetly offbeat and humorous Halloween treat -- not to mention a fitting nod to National Chucky​ the Notorious Killer Doll Day (October 25... yes, it's a​ thing!) -- in the form of this "found footage" from her memorable June 2014 lunch meeting with the fearsome horror movie moppet. This isn't completely out of character for our Top Banana; those familiar with Monica's 1970s "scream queen" appearances in EARTHQUAKE, AIRPORT '77, THE CONCORDE... AIRPORT '79 and Rod Serling's "Night Gallery" (episode "The Different Ones") may not be surprised by her sportsmanship and natural wit here. Special thanks to Chucky's "poppa," screenwriter / filmmaker / vintage disaster movie fan Don Mancini​ -- he also appears in this footage -- for showing Monica, and the rest of us, such a fun time with this visit.
