12th International Chess Festival "Paracin 2019" - Official Announcement

Dear chess friends, Welcome to presentation of 12th International Chess Festival "Paracin 2019", which will take place in Paracin, Serbia in July 5th to 27th. The most comprehensive chess festival so far will be 23 days long and will satisfy all chess players’ needs. Organizers are Youth Chess Club "Paracin" and Tourism Organization of Paracin Municipality. The main event is INTERNATIONAL CHESS TOURNAMENT "PARACIN 2019" which will be played at Pool "Prestige" from July 5th to 12th and there will be 3 OPEN sections, OPEN A, OPEN B and OPEN C, while at the rest day on Sunday July 7th 15th MEMORIAL RAPID TOURNAMEN "UROŠ DINIĆ" will take place. Total prize fund is the biggest so far and it is ONE MILLION Serbian dinars guaranteed !!! We expect to have more than 400 players from more than 30 worldwide chess federations. OPEN A is tournament for players rated higher than 2100, but organizer is allowed to include players with lower rating. 9 rounds will be played and it is valid for FIDE rating and international title norms. Time control is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds. Total PRIZE FUND is 680.000 Serbian dinars and it is distributed on 12 regular and 4 special prizes. First prize is: 180.000 Serbian dinars. OPEN B is tournament for players rated lower or equal to 2100. 9 rounds will be played and it is valid for FIDE rating. Time control is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds. Total PRIZE FUND is 220.000 Serbian dinars and it is distributed on 12 regular and 4 special prizes. First prize is: 45.000 Serbian dinars. OPEN C is tournament for players rated lower or equal to 1500 and born on 2003 and younger. 11 rounds will be played and it is not valid for FIDE rating. Time control is 60 minutes per player. Total PRIZE FUND is 30.000 Serbian dinars plus trophies, medals and surprise prizes. 15th MEMORIAL RAPID TOURNAMEN "UROŠ DINIĆ" is open to all interested players regarding to title and rating. 9 rounds will be played and it is valid for FIDE rapid chess rating. Time control is 10 minutes plus 5 seconds per player. Registration will be accepted until 9:45 am on Sunday, July 7th. Total PRIZE FUND is 70.000 Serbian dinars and it is distributed on 10 regular and 4 special prizes. First prize is: 15.000 Serbian dinars. Organizers will provide chess equipment for all events. For participants it will be provided, for a small fee, bus transfer from Belgrade to Paraćin, on July 5th (at 11:00 am) and back from Paraćin to Belgrade on July 12th (at 4:00 pm). It is also possible to organize individual transfers. Organizers offer to foreign Grandmasters special conditions regarding to accommodation. The amount for those special conditions is limited, so hurry up and do not miss the chance! For detailed information please contact organizers committee. During chess festival we will organize to free excursions for all interested participants and accompanying persons. We will be glad to present you our tourist resorts Grza and Sisevac as well as our monasteries. Organizers committee offer variety of different accommodation possibilities. Participation on Festival events is guaranteed only to players who provide accommodation through organizers committee. For accommodation, please send e-mail with detailed description of your needs and we will send you the best possible offer. Upon finishing main event we will continue with our festival events. From July 15th to 19th in Hotel "Petrus" we will organize INTERNATIONAL CHESS CAMP which will be 5 days long. TOP level chess coaches will be available for all age groups and different chess levels. Official Camp language will be English and all Camp details will be published after March 1st 2019. From July 14th to 20th in Hotel "Orbis" there will be 3 Round Robin tournaments: Grandmaster Round Robin, International Master Round Robin and (depending on ineterst) Woman Grandmaster or Woman International Master Round Robin for international chess title norms. Each tournament will have 10 players and 9 rounds will be played. More details about these round robin tournaments take a loak at www.paracinchess.weebly.com In the last week of this chess Festival, from July 22nd - 27th in Hotel "Orbis" we will organize depending on interest few Scheveningen tournaments / matches where members of one chess club, city or chess school can play against other team members with lower or higher FIDE rating. All tournaments will be FIDE rated.
