A father caring for his 14-year-old daughter with a life limiting condition has said he does not want to be "fighting for every penny" as rising bills and prices threaten to push the family further into debt. Nick Flaherty's family were already in around £30,000 worth of debt from having to take out a loan to convert Rhia's room to be accessible for her needs, before the cost-of-living crisis had properly taken hold. He believes that time with his daughter Rhia - who has a metabolic condition called pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency and is blind and deaf - is precious, so wants to spend as much of it with her without having to stress about bills. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on Facebook: / itvnews Follow ITV News on Twitter: / itvnews Follow ITV News on Instagram: / itvnews
