Fibroid Uterus is a non cancerous growth that grows on the body of the uterus. Most of the fibroid are Instamatic they stay calm and do not give any problems. They are incidentally found on a scan that has been done as a part of the health check or on a pelvic scan that is done for various other reasons. Fibroid s can give a number of clinical issues the most common is an abdominal uterine bleeding usually a heavy menstrual period or a period that lasts for more than 7 days or frequent periods where the bleeding abnormally occurs once in every 10-15 days. The other common clinical issue is severe cramps or pains during the period. Very rarely fibroid can also be a cause of recurrent pregnancy loss, infertility, pain during physical contact or sexual intercourse and sometime rarely when they grow big enough they can cause the compression of adjacent structures namely the bladder and cause increase frequency of urination.
