TBPPM Webinar | Leveraging GeneXpert for Tuberculosis and SARS-CoV-2 Testing

Webinar 21 April 2020 - TB PPM Learning Network Now that countries with high TB burden are seeing more COVID-19, how do we test people? The TB community has invested many years in building extensive lab-networks for diagnostics, including molecular testing on GeneXpert machines. Cepheid has successfully developed cartridges to test SARS-CoV-2, which could be leveraged in TB networks and GeneXpert machines. While the TB community is actively engaging and supporting COVID-19 response in countries, there is anxiety it should not come at the cost to TB testing.
