1 hour of focus – xylophone ambient inspired by yesterday’s sky Profile Yesterday, while surfing, the sky was unbelievably beautiful—so quiet that it gently pulled my awareness away from everything else. For me, the moments when I can fully return to the present are during creation and during surfing. Carrying that lingering feeling, I composed this ambient piece using only the xylophone. It expands slowly, guided solely by the rhythm of breathing. Musical Concept Each tone sways like reflections on the surface of the sea, shifting shape without haste. There is no melody—only time entrusted to spaciousness. Yesterday’s sky kept changing, yet moved nowhere. I tried to express that quiet transformation using only xylophone textures. Fragrance Notes This fragrance sketch is built from three simple notes, reflecting the lightness of the air and the quality of yesterday’s afternoon light. Top (30%): Mint A cool breeze that clears the mind. Middle (40%): Japanese Cedar The calm scent of the moist trees on the way back from the sea. Base (30%): Sandalwood A soft weight resting deep in the body, like time flowing slowly. The fragrance can deepen the world of the piece, yet the sound alone is enough to take you there. Environmental Conditions Creation: Morning Weather: The afterglow of yesterday’s clear sky Physical state: A gentle fatigue from the sea and lingering traces of wind Temperature/Humidity: Stable Wind: Light, with a faint memory of the sea Artwork Note The artwork was painted while recalling the colors of yesterday’s sky—soft orange, violet, and pale pink blending into each other. It avoids concrete shapes so the viewer can simply feel the quiet passage of time, like looking up at the sky without intention. Headphone Recommended Please play at a low volume so the sound can blend naturally with your environment. When the gaps in the music align with the gaps in the surrounding air, returning to the present becomes easier. About this channel This channel shares a new 1-hour, rhythm-less piece every day. Each work is created from the rhythm of breathing, shaped by sensations from nature, and paired with scent and artwork as a single world. Please visit only when you need it—that is more than enough.
