This video is a review on Gary Chapman’s book, The 5 Love Languages. Gary believes that everyone has one primary love language and these are the main five: Acts of Service Physical Touch Quality Time Receiving Gifts Words of Affirmation If you are an Acts of Service person, you might be someone who likes to clean someone's car when they are away or bring them groceries as a kind gesture. If you are a Physical Touch person, you might reach out and touch a friend's arm when you’re telling a story. You just need physical connection. If you are a Quality Time person, you need that undivided one on one time with the person that you care about. If you just happen to be in the same house but are not actively engaged, you might not feel loved. If you like to know that someone is thinking about you because they brought you a small gift from their trip, your love language might be Receiving Gifts. If you need to hear words like “I am so proud of you” or “You mean the world to me” then Words of Affirmation might be your primary love language. By understanding your love language, you can better teach those around you how YOU need to be loved. You can also understand HOW your loved ones are showing you their love by understanding what THEIR love language it. You can also better appreciate that everyone speaks a different language and it’s on us to be aware of how people are expressing their love.
