How to decide whether to say nucleoTide or nucleoSide? Here’s a guide… Remember: A nucleoSide is a nucleobase (base) with a side of sugar (ribose for RNA & deoxyribose for DNA). If you add phosphate group(s), you get a nucleoTide.
