Bald Eagle soars back to freedom after overcoming lead poisoning

Our nation's most symbolic bird, the bald eagle, is now back home in the wild after it was found on the ground in Franklin County last month. On Tuesday, October 14, folks gathered at Smith Mountain Lake Community Park in Moneta, as staff from the Wildlife Center of Virginia released Bald Eagle 25-3592, after a month of rehabilitation.
