Turure Watersteps, located in the evergreen valley of Cumaca, features a series of fascinating waterfalls - 📱FOLLOW: https://linktr.ee/Trinisurfer The river source is from the limestone region of Platanal, and the riverbed is adorned with layers of sedimentary rock deposited over time. The area offers Jacuzzi-like pools and picturesque waterfalls, with rocks carved into glamorous natural water-steps. Further upstream, the landscape transforms into captivating chutes and basins. The main attraction is the scenic horizontal falls, resembling a curtain as water descends along the bedrock. At the base, there’s a plunge pool, providing a safe and fun opportunity for rock climbing. Beyond the main cascade, there are other fascinating jewels to discover, including a small cave under a falls overhang. The best time to visit is during the rainy season when the water pressure is powerful and the water-steps are in full splendor. The exploration begins at the Turure Bridge in Cumaca, 3km from the Valencia Toco Road. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the first set of limestone pavements. The trail runs parallel to the river, crossing it several times.Calcium carbonate deposits on some rocks provide grips and make them manageable. The forest is alive with the courtship display of the white-bearded manakin and the echoing sound of the bearded bellbird.
