Also, we want to have a peace agreement. My children were born in America. I hope my children meet my relatives in North Korea and have a nice Christmas dinner this year." 11. Wide of Soon "Sandy" Seo STORYLINE: A small delegation of North Koreans arrived in the United States on Thursday ahead of disarmament talks in New York, but the lead negotiator, Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan, was not seen among them. Kim either did not travel with his fellow countrymen, or bypassed the dozens of journalists waiting as they passed through a commercial airline terminal at San Francisco International Airport. Some of the North Koreans appeared bewildered by the photographers and reporters who shouted questions at them in Korean. They did not answer. One woman who was waiting to greet the delegation, handed one of the delegates a bunch of flowers. Soon "Sandy" Seo told Associated Press Television News later that she hoped the upcoming talks would bring peace so her children could meet their relatives in North Korea. ''My children were born in America. I hope my children meet my relatives in North Korea and have a nice Christmas dinner this year," said Soon who was born in North Korea but now lives in the US. The delegates were hustled into waiting vehicles and left with a police escort. Kim and US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill are to meet on Monday and Tuesday in New York to discuss the first steps towards establishing normal ties after decades of hostility that followed the 1950-53 Korean War. Kim was also to meet privately on Thursday with non-governmental organisations in California, according to the US State Department.
