She sings in English, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Chinese, Indonesian, and Japanese with perfect accent. She was named "The Best Singing Star In Japan". She became the first songstress in Chinese ethnicity to perform at the Lincoln Centre in New York City, USA. She suffered a severe asthma attack on May 8, 1995 and died at Chiang Mai Rum Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Her remains was flown back to her hometown in Taiwan and was buried in Chin Pao San, New Taipei City, Taiwan. A statue of Teresa Teng stands at Jinshan District in New Taipei. TERESA TENG...
