Surah al Maun Recited by Mishary al Afasy

Surah al Maun This is the 107th Surah in the Holy Quran revelaed in Mecca. This surah teaches 2 out of the 5 pillars of Islam , salah (pray) and charity. How one should pray, not for show and importance of one giving charity. The Surah discusses the character of those who claim to be Muslims but are oblivious of the hereafter. These people deprive the orphans of their rights, forgetting Allah(SWT) has placed rights on everyone for the needy. Also those who pray without holding Allah (SWT) in remembrance, forgetting the objective behind prayer. Their charitable acts are a display of their false piety, they do not give for the love of Allah (SWT).
