In 1999, Steve Austin set all-time wrestling box office records in nearly every city in the country, selling out 70 percent of live shows and averaging more than 12,000 paid per night. Austin worked 100+ House shows in 98 and worked 40 in 1999. Rock did 100+ shows in 1999 and 100+ again in 2000, so he broke the record based on how many show they ran. but Austin's peak attendance average in 1999 was higher than Rock's.
