Capping off a tremendous year of singing and composing, the full choral studio at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts performs "Are We Closer," their new composition from the "Too Hot to Handel Creative Learning Project." Singers from Frank Sinatra, along with their peers from five other New York City high schools, performed "Too Hot to Handel: A Gospel Messiah" at Carnegie Hall in November 2010 with Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. "Are We Closer" is the student composers' response to the challenge of reinventing a masterpiece, just as "Too Hot to Handel" is a reinvention of Handel's "Messiah."
