Israeli settlers burn Palestinian homes after brothers shot dead

In the aftermath of a fatal attack by a Palestinian gunman that killed two Israelis, large numbers of Israeli settlers went on a violent rampage in the northern West Bank town of Hawara, torching homes, cars and agricultural land. As footage of the attacks covered the evening news, the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, called for calm, urging Israelis not to take the law into their own hands.
