Presenting to you, two different kind of Chutneys that can be prepared in the easiest of steps. Beginners to cooking can also follow the instructions to make these yummy and mouth-watering chutneys. They taste amazing with any kind of dish like Idly, Dosa, Upma, Adai, Bread and even Poha! The first is a Red chilli coconut chutney,that is a spicy South Indian chutney. It can be served with South Indian breakfast dishes like Idli, dosa and utthapam. This is one such type of chutney where green chillies are not used, instead we use red chillies. The second is a Coriander Tomato chutney, that is a very simple and delicious chutney made with coriander, tomato and green chilli. The tamarind added to it gives the chutney nice tanginess. The coriander and tomatoes along with other ingredients are directly blended, making it one of the easiest chutneys to prepare. This too can be had with Idli, Tomato, Utthapam, upma, etc Red chilli coconut chutney Ingredients Red Chilli (Whole) - 1 bowl Grated fresh coconut - 1 bowl Onion (Small) - 1 nos. Garlic(Optional) - 2 to 3 clove Tamarind - few Salt - to taste FOR TEMPERING Oil - 1 tsp Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp Red chilli (whole) - 1 no. Curry Leaves - few Method for Red chilli coconut chutney: 1. In a blender add chopped onions, grated coconut, tamarind, red chillies and garlic(optional) 2. Grind it into a nice smooth paste. Add salt and transfer in a bowl. Add little water to adjust consistency 3. For tempering take little oil in tadka pan. Add white urad dal ,mustard seeds,broken red chilli and curry leaves 4. Add the tempering to the chutney….. Coriander Tomato chutney Ingredients Coriander leaves (Finely chopped) - 1 bowl Tomato ( Chopped) - 1 bowl Green Chilli - 3 pcs Tamarind - 1 small piece Salt - to taste Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp Method for Coriander Tomato Chutney: 1. In a blender add chopped coriander leaves, tomatoes, tamarind piece, green chilli and salt 2. Grind it into a smooth paste. Add water to adjust the consistency. 3. Remove in a bowl. Take tadka pan and pour little oil. Add mustard seeds.
