I hope each and every one of you understand that I wish to build bridges with the SSA, not tear anything down. Suggested Tabling Questions Included in the Talk: ~~ Why do you believe in a God? Has/is everything you've been taught, true? Do beliefs that give comfort make them true? How important is faith for arriving at a truth? Are feelings the best way to know if something is true? What makes your Holy Book more believable than all those others? What do you find reliable about faith? Do you have evidence for your God belief? How could a person test that prayer actually works? When did you last honestly question your God belief? What if you were taught something that wasn't true? Can doubt ever be beneficial? Does one need a God belief in order to be good? If your God belief was mistaken, how would you discover that? Is personal experience always reliable? Would you rather have evidence or faith for your God belief? Would this campus be better if we all believed true things? ~~ Additional Tabling Questions Not Included in the Talk: ~~ Is the need for group acceptance behind your God belief? Do you believe in something that isn't real? How does it feel to discover you were mistaken about something? How does it feel to discover you were correct about something? If you were raised Christian, would you believe it today? If you were raised Muslim, would you still be today? If you were raised Hindu, would you still be today? If you were raised Pagan, would you still be today? If you were raised atheist, would you still be today? Is a belief true simply because it is old? Is a belief true because lots of other people hold it? Does prayer always work? What does a failed prayer look like? How could a person build a test for karma? How could a person build a test for miracles? How could a person build a test for prayer? How could a person build a test for a God? What would it take to discard your belief?
