This video highlights the role of the pharmacist in the provision of NHS Health Checks. The pharmacist plays a pivotal role in health promotion and education. The position of the community pharmacist is ideally situated at the frontiers where healthcare professionals interact with the public, enabling them to easily supply healthcare and advice. The NHS Health Checks Scheme is a vascular risk assessment and management service aimed at people aged 40-74 and is one of many services of local pharmacies that underline this important relationship of the pharmacist and their role in general public healthcare.
