CJI Gavai Attack News: Residents Share Shocking Details About Suspended Lawyer Rakesh Kishore Senior lawyer Rakesh Kishore, 71, allegedly threw a shoe at CJI B R Gavai inside Supreme Court. Bar Council of India immediately suspended Kishore, barring him from court practice nationwide. Kishore had filed at least 2 petitions during his tenure. Prashant previously filed contempt petition in 2021 related to garbage chute dispute, dismissed as time-barred. He filed another writ petition alleging mismanagement of multi-storey complex and missing fire safety certificate from 2004 to 2021. Residents of his society told Kishore became president 6 years ago & that recent elections haven’t been held. They claimed multiple complaints filed against him — one was related to the alleged assault of a senior citizen in November 2021.
