Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make the Antidote cocktail. Pat Ray created this cocktail in 2016. Pat came up with this recipe while trying to develop a summer-style old-fashioned. Pat initially used Zucca Barbarbaro in his version of the cocktail. However, I used Cynar, which makes a slightly sweet and bitter variation. With the addition of ginger and honey syrup, you get a sweet spiciness that ups the ante on this taste profile. De-Stem and muddle a strawberry in the shaker tin. 1. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker tin. 2. Shake with crushed ice for 8-10 seconds. 3. Strain into a rocks glass with crushed ice. 5. Garnish with half a strawberry. GINGER SYRUP https://boozeontherocks.com/syrups/gi... 6 oz/180 g Sugar 6 oz/180 ml Water 7 oz/210 g Sliced Ginger Method 1. Place sugar and Water and Sliced Ginger into a sauce pan. 2. Use med-high heat and heat until Sugar is fully dissolved. 3. Stir and allow to simmer 15-20 min. 4. Fine Strain into a clean bottle and allow to cool before use. ** HONEY SYRUP 8 oz/240 ml Honey 8 oz/240 ml Water Method https://boozeontherocks.com/syrups/ho... 1. Combine the honey and water into a pot on the stove. 2. Warm on low heat (do not boil), and stir until the honey has fully incorporated. 3.
