Discs Of Tron, 1983 Bally/Midway (20 From 1983 #12)

Engaging battle between TRON of the famed Disney/videogame franchise and the evil Sark with discs being thrown at each other. Unlike the first TRON game this does not have multiple stages, but it's still fun and involving as you "play the angles" to try to get the drop on your opponent and send them into de-res afterlife. With a control knob you move a cursor left and right (and later up and down) to act as crosshairs to determine where you'll fire your discs. They will ricochet off walls and quite possibly surprise your opponent, and Sark can do the same to you-- he also can fire different projectiles like Chasers, Super Chasers, and Energy Pellets-- some of which you can't block with your shield (you have 7 per life or stage) and some of which follow you! There are 2 cabinets of this-- one with voice samples (called the "Environmental" cabinet, and you can stand up inside it to play) and the regular stand up cabinet. Very tough and engaging-- play around with the angle game to surprise your opponent!
