Indiana DCS Worker Talks About How He Was Punished After Complaining About Sexual Harassment: part 1

I work for the Indiana Department of Child Services in a child protective services capacity. Unfortunately, I was punished by my regional manager after I complained about sexual harassment. I was told I should have been more lenient towards my harasser because she was “a younger, lessor experienced, female.” I made a civil rights complaint and the State removed the reprimand but made no effort to repair my relationship with management and as a consequence, I faced a hostile work environment. My complaints and requests for dialogue went nowhere and I believe my regional manager made overt attempts to get rid of me… In the process, child welfare investigations were compromised and thousands of dollars of taxpayers' money was wasted. These videos will explain why that was the case, while critiquing the current civil service complaint system, the State’s lack of transparency, and the State’s willingness to suppress evidence and insulate management from accountability.
