In this last message in the series “Look at Me Now” we examine the questions…. Where am I broken? Where has my life gone from bad to worse? In what area do I need the presence of God to minister to me? We have to face our struggles and acknowledge our need for Jesus. The people that run to Jesus in the Gospel of Mark are not the smug, self-righteous scribes and Pharisees or the hard-hearted crowds that listen to his teaching but then go away. They know they are broken and cannot deny needing a healer. They are those who go from bad to worse. They are those who know shame, fear, and guilt but find grace, freedom, peace, love, power, and mercy when they meet Jesus. These are they that fall before his feet, and Jesus fiercely and tenderly draws near to their brokenness and comes to the rescue, breaks the chains, calms fears and gives new life and identity. Blessed are the broken because Jesus is near to them. You Are Not Alone. The vision of The House of the Lord, Akron, OH - is to glorify God by providing healing and support for all that connect with our fellowship, who are consciously hurting, through the good news of Jesus Christ offered in a relational environment, so that these people may develop significant relationships with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, and other believers. We strive to do this primarily through a vibrant celebration service and a nurturing small-group experience based upon the Word of God.
