Hike Sunrise to Berkeley Park, Mount Rainier National Park | 6.8 miles, August 2021.

Join us for a hike on a beautiful sunny morning, starting at Sunrise visitor area, up to Frozen Lake and on to Berkeley Park. Along the way we saw great views of Mount Rainier and the surrounding peaks, wildflowers and a large herd of mountain goats. The trail starts at 6,400’ (1,950 M) elevation, goes up to 6,700’ (2,042 M) at Frozen Lake, then descends 900’ (274 M) into Berkeley Park and meadows. We turned around just before the backcountry campsite (permits needed). Our total mileage was 6.8 (11 km).
