As we prepare to enter the season of Advent, we, as Christians, are called to "Prepare Ye the way of the Lord," as stated in Matthew 3:3-4, "It was of him that the prophet Isaiah had spoken when he said: A voice of one crying out in the desert, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths." Since Advent is all about preparing the way of the Lord, we are also called to prepare the way of the Lord, whether through prayer, service, or building up the community (most commonly referenced at my church).
