TOPWATER FISHING QUESTION? NEED VIEWER INPUT

For years, I lived & fished in Pennsylvania and caught a lot of largemouth bass on topwater lures. Now in Maryland, I predominately troll when looking for rockfish. An older, veteran fisherman in PA gave me some advice concerning fishing with topwater lures.
