All he did in response was go to work and somehow took a Thunder team that was given about a 2% chance to make the playoffs to finish as a 5 seed in the tough Western Conference. Then, the Thunder did what they are best at; trading Paul after he expressed an interest to play with the Phoenix Suns primarily because he liked the roster and what he saw in young star, Devin Booker. Tonight, that Phoenix Suns team will tip off in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks. It really is hard to believe and if anyone claims to have predicted this they are either a biased Suns fan or they are lying. Still, history looked to repeat itself when Chris Paul suffered a shoulder injury in the opening series vs. the defending champs in the Los Angeles Lakers. Just another bad break for CP3 it seemed like. But Paul played through a lot of the pain despite not looking anywhere near his healthy self as he was clearly limited. But the Suns and Chris rallied to beat the Lakers in the series and have looked impressive ever since which might have something to do with them being the betting favorite over the Bucks in this years Finals. This could be a very exciting series but part of that will depend on the health of Giannis Antetokounmpo who is listed as doubtful for tonight's game. Paul is coming off a 41 point game in the clincher vs. the LA Clippers but the part of the box score that was impressive to me was zero listed in the turnover section. To handle the ball as much as Chris Paul does and to score 41 with no turnovers really just tells you how smart of a player he is. We know the "Point God" can handle the ball, the question is can him and his Phoenix Suns handle the Milwaukee Bucks.
