Police: pedestrian at fault in Hamilton accident

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police say the pedestrian, hit by a car in Hamilton Tuesday night, was at fault in the accident. Police say 61-year-old Wade Carpenter tried to cross the High/Main Street Bridge and ran into the side of the car. They say Carpenter was not in a cross walk. A medical helicopter took him to U.C. Medical Center, where he is in critical condition. The driver will not be charged. Police say Carpenter could be charged in the future.
