Genetic diversity: variation in the gene composition of a single species or species. Genetic diversity within a single species of living thing that results in variation is called variety. Examples: types of mangoes, types of chickens, types of dogs, types of rice, types of coconuts. Species diversity: variation found within living things or between species within the same family. Interbreeding between species is not possible. Examples: Coconut, oil palm, palm trees Rice, corn, wheat Lions, tigers, panthers Ecosystem diversity: diversity that occurs due to the interaction of living things (biotic) with their environment (abiotic). Examples: Rice paddy ecosystem Coastal ecosystem River ecosystem Swamp ecosystem
