We have all seen the DH World Cup line choice videos and maybe you even fancy yourself as having, 'a good eye for lines,' but unless you practice spotting and riding race lines, you probably won't be able to ride them effectively on race day. If your normal rides consist of you cruising the main line through the braking bumps, then you are probably going to struggle to change your approach when it comes to a race or event. Even if you are not racing, it is still a good skill to have, opening up turns for more exit speed, and usually a smoother, less fatiguing ride. Let me show you a couple of lines at my local spot....
