Godhi Puri is simple yet crunchy snack that can be prepared in just a few minutes. Makes a great evening snack. Comes with English subtitles. Godhi Puri Ingredients: Whole Wheat Flour - 2 Cups Chiroti Rawa or Small Semolina - 4 Tbsp Hot Oil - 2 Tbsp Salt - 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp (I used 1 tsp spicy and 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder) Oil - For deep frying Method: 1. In a bowl, add 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour, 4 Tbsp Chiroti Rawa, 1 tsp Salt and 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder and mix everything once. I have used 1 tsp MTR Red chilli powder and 1 tsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder as one gives colour and other gives spiciness to the Puri. 2. Heat 2 Tbsp of Oil in a frying pan. It should turn to piping hot, switch off the flame immediately and pour this hot Oil to the flour mixture and mix well with the spoon once. 3. Once it turns to warm, mix it with your hand and add water and prepare like Chapati dough by adding enough water to it. 4. Always keep the dough closed as it tends to turn hard. 5. Now take a portion of the Puri dough and make it round. Take dry Wheat Flour and dip it into both sides and roll it and prepare thin Chapati out of it. Try to roll it as thin as possible. Now with the help of a fork or knife prick the complete rolled dough. 6. Once done, take the round cookie cutter or the small steel box lid and cut it as shown in the video. Remove slowly the cut puris and transfer them to a plate. One can prepare all the Puris at once and fry it later, or prepare two to three batches and can fry it. Do not cut the Puri shape in a cutter and then prick it, this will puff up the puris. 7. Now, In a deep kadai, add Oil for deep frying, Once the Oil is hot add 10-15 Puris at a time and fry in medium flame. Remove the fried Puris once the Oil stops the sizzling sound and turn slightly golden in colour. Do not allow them to turn more brown, as Puris are hot after removing from Oil they slightly change their colour. 8. Repeat the same process for remaining dough and fry them. Once everything cools down, transfer them to an airtight container. One can store more than 15 days. Quality cooking wares that I love and recommend.
