December 28th Daily Reflection ✝️ | The Holy Family in Exile #catholicshorts #reflection #christmas

✝️✨ Daily Gospel Reflection — Sunday, December 28, 2025 Feast of the Holy Family 📖 Gospel Reading: Matthew 2:13–15, 19–23 Today’s Gospel reveals a side of the Christmas story that is often overlooked: fear, flight, and trust in God. Joseph is warned in a dream to take Mary and the Child and flee to Egypt to escape King Herod’s violence. The Holy Family becomes refugees — displaced, vulnerable, yet completely guided by God’s providence. This passage reminds us that Jesus entered not only into joy and celebration, but also into suffering and uncertainty. From His earliest days, Christ shares in the struggles of families who face danger, displacement, and hardship. Joseph’s obedience, Mary’s trust, and Jesus’ vulnerability show us what faith looks like when life is uncertain. As we reflect on the Holy Family today, we are invited to place our own families under God’s protection, to trust His guidance even when the path is unclear, and to remember that God is with us — especially in moments of fear and exile. ✨🤍
