Cross Heel Hook Attack: Using Reverse De La Riva to Sweep and Attack the Leglock (No Gi BJJ)

Cross Heel Hook Attack: Using Reverse De La Riva to Sweep and Attack the Leglock (No Gi BJJ)

Using reverse de la riva (RDLR) to enter the ashi garami: what makes this entry interesting is that we start with an attack on one leg using the RDLR and we transfer to control of the other leg from the inverted position. We start by using the Reverse De La Riva hook to halt the passer’s step inside our guard, then we invert to bring our body to the inside position. This inversion places you in a position partway behind your partner from which you can switch your control. We use a triangle on that secondary leg to stay connected and eventually knock them down where we can work attacks to the legs. Like this video?
