Veterinary Technology - Program Overview

Ridgewater College's Veterinary Technology program gives students the combined skills of a nurse and medical technologist to make them an integral part of the veterinary industry. Our two year AAS degree includes curriculum for laboratory work, small animal care, large animal care, exotics, pharmacology, surgical nursing, anesthesia, and kennel management. Veterinary Technician students receive hands-on learning in our on-campus veterinary clinic and kennel facility. Our program has been fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) since 1993 and has earned a "FearFree" certification for our work in reducing fear, anxiety, and stress for animals.
