2023 Maruti Fronx Review | Just a Baleno in Grand Vitara’s Clothing? | autoX
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the latest compact SUV from the country’s largest carmaker. It may look like a baby Grand Vitara on the outside, but it’s a Baleno underneath! That said, it does get a few new bits and bobs as compared to the current-gen Baleno. With the Fronx, Maruti’s BoosterJet 1.0-litre turbo engine is making a comeback, and it’s also available with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The Fronx is expected to be priced between Rs 8-12 lakh (ex-showroom) and it’ll be sold through the company’s premium Nexa outlets. So, the question is, can the Fronx become yet another market hit for Maruti Suzuki with its combination of premium SUV styling and economical hatchback underpinnings?
