#rapbattle #deltarune #caskofamontillado #jevil #montresor #edgarallanpoe In the first ever edition of Snakebite Rap Battles, we have Montresor from Cask of Amontillado against Jevil from Deltarune in a battle of mentally deranged carnival killers. After a year of working on the premiere to my good series, I finally delayed it and made this the premiere instead. Welcome all to Snakebite126, my new, completely unironic rap battle series. Before people ask - yes, Terrible Rap Battles of Comic Sans will still be going. That will be reserved for more memey matchups/concepts where I focus more on being silly and having fun than perfecting everything and focusing on overall quality. I was gonna make an announcement video, but I just said screw it and dropped the premiere. I worked really hard on this and I think I've really gotten the hang of the battle making process, so hope you all enjoy! ===CAST/CREW=== Montresor/Jevil - Snakebite126 You’re here already, nerd! Tags, ignore this: jevil is an enemy from deltarune, an indie game by toby fox serving as a spin-off of hit game undertale. jevil is an imp dressed as a jester who loves causing chaos and mischief. jevil battles kris susie and ralsei in the secret basement of card castle, serving as a secret boss in deltarune chapter 1 who is not required to be fought. jevil used to be a court jester and best friends with seam until an unrevealed person showed him that his world was all a game which drove him insane. the four kings ordered seam to lock him up, but in jevil's eyes his cell was freedom and everyone else was imprisoned. jevil is first met in his cell in the basement of card castle, asking the delta warriors to play a game. once the key is collected and the cell is unlocked, the game is a numbers game in which the goal is to bring hp to 0. you can either win the devilsknife or the jevilstail armor, depending on whether you pacify or attack him to the end. he has many jester themed attacks, such as using spades or carousel horses as weapons. montresor commonly misspelled montessor is the main character of cask of amontillado which is a short horror story written by edgar allan poe. his past is mysterious, only knowing that he hails from a big wealthy family that he may have spent the fortune completely on wine. after supposedly being insulted by his friend fortunado montresor vows revenge. after much planning, he asks a drunken fortunado at a carnival if he wants to see the cheap amontillado he had purchased. fortunado agrees and montresor takes him to the catacombs, even offering fortunado chances to turn back to toy with him. deep into the catacombs, montresor leads fortunado to a cave and chains him to the wall, then montresor builds up a brick wall to lock him there forever. fortunado being drunk assumes it is a joke, but soon begins to realize his life is in danger after he becomes sober. montresor takes much pleasure in his friend's screams and pleas for mercy, even mocking them right to his face. after finishing the wall, montresor feels an inkling of guilt and remorse, but dismisses this as just the cave's dampness. montresor calls out fortunado's name, to which he hears only the quiet jingling of fortunado's cap, then he leaves the cave. at the end of the story montresor remarks that no one found fortunado's body for 50 years before ending with in pace recquiescat which means rest in peace in latin.
