Try this - put your car on a completely flat surface, first gear, clutch in. Now let the clutch out nice and slow, no gas. If your car rolls, your clutch is probably ok. But if it stalls or wont roll, its time for a new clutch. If the pedal feels weird or there are strange noises when the pedal is engaged, you may have a bad pressure plate. Time for a replacement clutch!
