Bangalore became the first city in India and Karnataka the first state, to legalise takeaway of craft beers from Microbreweries in Growlers on May 14th, 2020!! We went around the city documenting this historic and momentous occasion to show you guys a glimpse of how this works and what guidelines and procedures you should be following. For the uninitiated, a Growler is a container made of glass or stainless steel, that you can carry into your fav microbrewery or taproom and have filled with beer, straight from the taps, for TAKEAWAY!! So far, this was illegal and not allowed anywhere in India, so to see this happen first in Bangalore is amazing and is proof that Bangalore truly is the Beer and Craft Beer capital of India!!
