The US has added its voice urging Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down. Washington's top counter terrorism official John Brennan called on him to sign a transition plan which will facilitate Saleh's resignation. The Yemeni leader is currently in Saudi Arabia receiving treatment after an attack on his compound last month. Back home in the Yemeni capital, protests are continuing.
