This vibrant color recalls the birth of the church in the fire of Pentecost and marks the days on which we celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit in the history of the church. This morning we celebrate the dedication anniversary of both the first church building and our current church building, giving thanks to God for this blessing and the opportunity it affords to serve our children and our community. There are a number of noteworthy events this Sunday: 8:30-9:15 - Educational Hour (Bible Class and Sunday School) | In-person only 9:30-10:30 - Holy Eucharist for the Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost | Online and in-person 10:30 - 2021 Capital Campaign Champagne Toast | Online and in-person Not only are we celebrating the legacy of Saint Luke – Church, School, and Cemetery, we are preparing to build our future. Immediately following the Festival Eucharist this Sunday all are encouraged and welcome to attend a Champagne Toast - giving thanks and unveiling a new capital campaign to ensure a connection with our Saint Luke, local and global community. The toast will be available to attend online via stlukechicago.org.
