With Abdul-Jabbar playing all 53 minutes, the Lakers prevailed anyway, scratching out a 118-112 overtime win. Playing at the ripe old age of 31, Abdul-Jabbar finished with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 blocks. Alas, this would be the Lakers' only playoff win in '79.
