The third episode's teaser follows Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and the other Jackson Hole survivors as they process what occurred and confront the person they lost. #thelastofus #ellie #revenge Ellie & Tommy (Gabriel Luna) are shown in the teaser as mourning Joel's passing. This horrific loss serves as the impetus for Ellie's intentions to get retribution once she learns from Dina (Isabela Merced) who killed her father figure and the only family member she has left. Additionally, it presents the Washington Liberation Front (commonly known as W.L.F.), another militant group comprised of survivors. The second episode of Season 2 of The Last of Us is "Through the Valley." With a 54% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the most recent chapter appears to be a little mediocre. However, despite the low audience score, the most recent episode scored a respectable 9.5 out of 10 stars on IMDB. Many said that HBO's portrayal of Joel's death was "cinematic" and brought back memories of the game for players in 2020. Joel Miller's horrific demise was shown in Episode 2, which also starred Pedro Pascal and Kaitlyn Dever as Abby. After leaving Jackson, Ellie sets out on her own quest for vengeance to track down Joel's murderer. Joel isn't necessarily gone from the program, though, merely because he isn't in the primary plot anymore. According to the show's earlier trailer, he still has some moments left, most likely given as flashbacks in subsequent episodes. The actor's IMDB page also states that he will be appearing for the remainder of the season, however, this might change as more episodes are released. Since creator Craig Mazin hinted that it would take more than one or two seasons to cover The Last of Us Part II, a third part of the program has been announced. Joel's appearance in the upcoming episode has not yet been disclosed because Season 3 has not yet been written.
