Message from University of Leicester President & Vice-Chancellor Professor Nishan Canagarajah

He has made it a priority to reach out and work with local partners to ensure the university benefits the area’s community as well as international stakeholders to drive its global impact forward. The city’s sporting strengths, vibrant culture and diversity are attractive reasons for him to join Leicester. And he pledged that one of his central aims is to improve the chances of students from diverse backgrounds to access higher education and achieve their full potential.
