Jubilee MPs differ over proposed Wamalwa Nairobi gubernatorial bid

The decision by several legislators to pledge to back water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa in the Nairobi gubernatorial race in 2017 has divided opinion amongst the rank and file of the jubilee alliance. Some of the declared aspirants for the seat such as Nairobi senator Mike Sonko say Wamalwa is welcome to join the race and battle it out with other candidates as several city MCAs welcomed his candidature. But some of the jubilee aspirants have rejected a Wamalwa candidature claiming he is a project being imposed on voters in the capital city. Sam Ogina has the details.
