Reising Model 50 SMG .45 ACP

Reising Model 50 SMG .45 ACP

The Reising Model 50 was procured as an "off the shelf" substitute for the Thompson SMG by the Marine Corps at the beginning of World War 2. 3 Reisings could be purchased for the price of a Thompson. Use in the field revealed the design to be too sensitive to dirt and salt water and it was quickly taken out of field use after Guadalcanal. They found good use for stateside guard duty and police work. 20 and 12 round magazines were standard and later aftermarket 30 round magazines can be found but not easily and at a premium price. As of the date of this video, it's the most affordable automatic weapon available on the U.S. market of registered NFA weapons.
