Lumix S1II vs Sony FX3 – Is It Time to Switch Cameras?

Set up your Lumix S1 II for cinematic video — full guide here: https://cineguides.net/guide/lumix-s1ii/ 🎥 Camera Comparison Testing Info 🎥 For all tests (unless otherwise stated), both cameras had matching settings and were equipped with Sigma Art 24-70mm f/2.8 (Mk1) lenses. Each in their respective native mounts (L-Mount for Lumix, E-Mount for Sony). 🧪 IBIS & Autofocus Tests To ensure a fair comparison, I used native lenses for each system (Sony & Lumix) when testing IBIS and autofocus performance. This gives each camera the best chance to perform at its peak. 🔥 Overheating Since filming, I’ve run a few more overheating tests. In 5.1K open gate, I was able to trigger the overheating warning on one of the cameras. I’ll be running more tests and will update this section as I learn more. 🔋 Battery Test I used official Sony and Lumix batteries during the battery tests. Please note: the Sony batteries are a bit older, which might have slightly affected the results, but not by much. 📷 Mounting Setup The cameras were mounted either side by side using an articulating arm, or stacked (top and bottom) via cold shoe mounts, depending on the test being run. 📧 Get in touch: [email protected]
