Game 1 -- Spurs win 129-127 The Warriors won the opening tip and pretty much seemed in complete control after that. At least until late in the 4th when Klay Thompson fouled out and the Spurs scored 15 straight and ended the game on an 18-2 run to erase a 16 point deficit and send it to overtime. Both teams came out strong and kept putting up shots to force a second overtime. At the very end it looked like the Warriors might be able to steal when Manu missed a 3 and Kent Bazemore gave the warriors a 1 point lead on the assist from Curry. Then on the ensuing possession the Warriors left Manu wide open on the inbound pass and he hit a 3 with 1.2 seconds left to give the Spurs a 2 point lead. Curry led the way with 44 points (22 of which came in the 3rd quarter) and 11 assist. Barnes and Bogut both had double-doubles combining for 29 points and 27 rebounds. Tim Duncan was playing sick and still managed to put up 19 points and 11 rebounds before Pop pulled him out in the 4th and the Spurs played small the rest of the way. Kawhi Leonard was 1 rebound short of a double-double. Parker and Ginobili led the way as Ginobili had a double-double both he and Parker nearly had triple doubles combining for 44 points, 15 rebounds, and 19 assist. Game 2 -- Warriors win 100-91 The Warriors came out playing with some fire and behind 29 points from Klay Thompson the warriors had a huge lead going into halftime. But much like in game 1 the Spurs never said die and just kept chipping away at that lead. But the warriors held strong and kept the Spurs at a distance. Duncan led the way with 23 points and Parker had 20 while Leonard had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. But they fall just short behind Klay Thompson's 34 points and 14 rebounds. Game 3 -- Spurs win 102-92 The series went back to Oakland where the Spurs defense finally found an answer for the Golden State guards as Curry and Thompson combined for 33 points while Andrew Bogut also contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds and David Lee came off the bench and actually played 5 minutes scoring 5 points and grabbing 2 rebounds. Parker led the way with 32 points and Duncan added 23 points and 10 rebounds and Kawhi Leonard was 1 rebound short of a double-double as well. Game 4 -- Warriors win 97-87 Andrew Bogut picked up 2 quick fouls in the first quarter and for some reason Mark Jackson decided to leave him in the game and Bogut grabbed a 3rd foul and sat the rest of the half. Carl Landry also got his 3rd foul with about a minute left in the 1st. The Spurs looked like they were in control in the first half. But in the third quarter Curry went on an 8-0 scoring run and in the 4th the teams exchanged game winners as the series once again experiences overtime. But the Spurs just could not get their shots to all and the Warriors had a 9-0 to take control. Tiago Splitter was the only starter not to score in double figures as Tim led the way with 19 points and 15 rebounds and Manu came off the bench to score a team high 21 points. Stephen Curry, Jarrett Jack, and Harrison Barnes combined for 72 of the Warriors points but the key here was turnovers. The Warriors had 18 turnovers in the first 3 quarters and none in the 4th or overtime and that's why they were able to finish so strong. Game 5 -- Spurs win 109-91 The Spurs went into the game and seemed to be in control from the opening tip. The Warriors had some runs, but the Spurs always answered back. The Warriors struggled to put up points as The Spurs limited Curry and Thompson to a total of 13 points on the game. Harrison Barnes led the team with 25 points and Jarrett Jack came off the bench to add 20. But it wasn't enough as the Spurs lead continued growing. Duncan and Parker both had double-doubles, Parker with 25 points and 10 assist while Duncan added 14 points and 11 rebounds. But some of the most exciting news for NBA fans were the unexpected faces that we saw. Game 6 -- Spurs win 94-86 In the first 3 quarters parker and Ginobili were a combined 1-15 for 6 points. But they had 13 assist between them and played well defensively. The Spurs took control of the paint and behind Duncan and Splitter they were in control the whole way. But no matter how big the Spurs lead got the Warriors never went away. But they kept racking up assist and hitting clutch 3s and in the end they managed to pull away. Stephen Curry led the way with 22 points and David Lee had his minutes slightly extended playing in 13 total minutes and finishing with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Tim Duncan led the way with 19 points and Tiago Splitter finished the game with 14. Kawhi Leonard had a duble-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. And even though Manu and Parker shot a combined 4-22 from the field for a total of 18 points, they still helped lead the offense with a combined 19 assist.
