Classic TV Theme: The Law and Harry McGraw

Jerry Orbach had appeared in several 'Murder, She Wrote' episodes as gumshoe Harry McGraw and they were well received. So they spun him off into a series of his own. It was scheduled for 10pm, which creator Peter Fischer felt was inappropriate (he considered it a 9pm show, with 8pm best for sitcoms and 10pm for heavier, more serious programming than a light-hearted detective show). It only lasted a single season but Orbach went on to a long career on 'Law and Order'. Nice theme by Richard Markowitz.
