We take on the other four Mavericks but also, we take the opportunity to seek out the remaining parts and upgrades. This can only be done with X because if you plan on doing it with Zero, you need to make sure X gets his Ultimate Armor because he loses the fourth armor in the beginning of the game. Speaking of the armors, X gets access to two additional armors along with the Fourth and Ultimate Armors. The Falcon Armor allows X to fly for a limited amount of time. While in the air, he’s invincible and is considered as one of the best armors of the game. He can use special weapons since they now consume less energy. He also has a Giga Attack that strikes enemies all over the place. The drawbacks are that he can’t charge special weapons and can’t air dash. The Gaea Armor focuses on power. His shots have a shorter range but are stronger and his Giga Attack fires a close range projectile at enemies. His dash also serves as a weapon and can be used to push special platforms out of the way. He can walk on spikes and can latch onto walls. The drawback is that he can’t use any special weapons at all. Part 3 is where we finish things up by heading into Sigma’s fortress. Yes, we do actually succeed here.
